Internationally renowned model Karlie Elizabeth Kloss was born on August 3rd, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois, then moved to St. Louis, Missouri aged two. In her younger years, Karlie trained as a ballet dancer and credits her ability to pose so effortlessly in front of the camera to this.
At just 14 years of age, Karlie was scouted while posing for the Chicago-based 'Scene Magazine'. The infamous Elite modeling agency saw Karlie's potential and signed her almost immediately. Following a whirlwind entry into the industry, Karlie began modeling for one of America's favorite brands, Abercrombie.
After moving to Next Model Management in 2008, Karlie's career skyrocketed. She walked runways in Milan, Paris and New York, and represented an incredible array of designers, including Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana.
Alongside her statuesque height (she is 6'1" tall!) and elegant, delicate features, Karlie has another enviable quality: her trademark runway walk! Regularly described as one of the most powerful in the industry, Karlie's strut down the catwalk simply oozes flair and self-confidence.
Making the most of her off-duty time, Karlie gets involved with charitable causes and has collaborated with restaurant chain Momofuku to create 'Karlie's Cookies'. These cookies are gluten and dairy free, and proceeds from the sales go towards feeding children suffering from hunger in developing countries around the world.
