Choosing the right hairstyle for your wedding day can be difficult, but if you know you want something beautifully understated, a low, textured bun could be just what you're looking for! While this chic, bridal updo looks lovely by itself, it also lends itself really well to all manner of accessories, from barrettes to flowers to headbands, so you can totally make it your own.

To find out how to style it, simply follow the tutorial below.

Step one
Starting with freshly washed, damp hair, apply a wave enhancing spray evenly throughout.

Step two
Loosely a chunk of hair, hold it by the ends, then blow-dry it completely on a medium heat setting. Repeat this process until all of your hair has been dried this way.

Step three
Shake your fingers through your hair to break up the twists, then define a part on your favorite side.

Step four
Gather your hair back into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck and tie. Don't pull the hair too tightly as you want to retain a subtly textured, soft look.

Step five
Loosely twist the pony, then wind it into a bun shape and secure with bobby pins. Use your hands to adjust, loosen and muss the style as desired.

Step six
Mist your finished bun generously with plenty of brushable hairspray. This will give you up to 24 hours of great hold and can be brushed out when you're ready to take your hair down.
