Short hair tutorial: wet look side part

Deciding whether or not you want a short cut is difficult, but looking at some inspirational crops can really help. Take tho clean, on-trend side sweep, for example. It has a slight runway edge, thanks to its subtle wet-look finish, but it's the kind of style that is totally real-world wearable if you're brave enough to go for it.
The tousled, shower-fresh dishevelment ensures this cute crop will stand out from the crowd without being overwhelmingly slick. It's a very daytime-friendly look but can easily be dressed up for a night on the town. Seriously, all you need is lipstick.
If you still feel that this is a little too 'out there', you could tone it down with a matte, surfer hair finish instead.
Get the look
After towel-drying your hair, apply a straightening cream, then rough dry until it's only a tiny bit damp.
Warm a small amount of low-shine wax on your fingertips then work it thoroughly through all of your hair. Start small and add more gum as needed to avoid overdoing it. It's way easier to add more as you go than to get gunky and have to start over.
Part your hair deep on one side, using the arch of your eyebrow as a guide. Comb all of your hair through to fix the part then ruffle with your hands.
Complete the look with a generous mist of finishing spray to add shine and give you long-lasting hold and you're all set!
What do you think? Could this be the short cut that motivates you to book that pivotal hair appointment?
