L'Oréal Paris spokesperson Jennifer Lopez is currently in American Idol mode, which means she's showcasing one great hairstyle after another until the end of the season. One of her latest looks, a nineties inspired high ponytail, is definitely one of our favorite looks so far, and if you love JLo's pony as much as we do, you can recreate it with the tutorial below!

Starting with towel dried hair, apply a volume enhancing mousse throughout. An egg-sized amount should be enough but you may need more if your hair is especially long or thick.
Rough dry your hair, using your hands instead of a hairbrush. When the hair is almost dry, flip your head upside down and complete the blowout in that position. This will lift the hair at the root and give your mane plenty of volume.
When it's completely dry, mist your hair with a heat protectant and curl the lengths with a 1 ½" curling iron to add movement.
Once you're happy with the texture, gather your hair into a high ponytail on top of your head and secure it. To create some serious nineties vibes, use a scrunchie instead of a regular hair tie - not only are they much kinder to the hair shaft, they also look as awesome today as they did before the Spice Girls broke up.
Complete the look with plenty of finishing spray for long lasting hold.
