Well-groomed, formal hairstyles are all well and good but sometimes, it's just a more fun to try something a little more 'out there' with your hair. When the boss isn't around and there's no-one to disapprove, why not ramp up the volume with a ton of root lift and plenty of added texture? This somewhat windswept look has a lot of personality and is guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd.
So, if you feel like side parts have been done, and want to switch up your style, this could be just the look you need. All you have to do is arm yourself with a jar of Deconstructing Cream Wax, a hair dryer and a comb, then follow the tutorial below!
Wash and towel-dry your hair until it's only slightly damp.
Warm a small amount of Deconstructing Cream Wax then work it back through your hair. Add more as needed but be careful not to overdo it. Too much product will weigh the hair down and make it more difficult to style.
Next you need to blow-dry your hair into shape. Starting at the front, point the airflow at the root, moving upward as the air dries. Lift small sections with a comb or brush to keep the strands near the heat. Essentially, you should dry the hair in the direction you want it to go when you're done styling. In this case, that direction is up.
Use a little more wax to tousle and dishevel your now dry hair, taking care not to crush the volume you just created. If you need to, back-comb on top and at the crown of your head to build some more height. Then, shape with your hands and you're good to go!
What do you think? Could this be your new 'day off' hairstyle?
