As men's hair trends go, this season's penchant for side-sweeps is pretty interesting. Having enjoyed certain hegemony on the spring 2014 menswear runways - a lot of designers opted for different variations of the side sweep to go with their new collections - this playfully textured style might just be here to stay.
There's no denying that his hairstyle is seriously likeable. It doesn't come off as overly serious but it can also be dressed up when the occasion calls for it. It's the kind of style that won't ruffle any feathers at work, but won't look too uptight on a night out either. As far as we can see, it's the best of both worlds, and it's mercifully low-maintenance, too.

If this look is something you might want to try, speak to your stylist about it. You want to ask them to cut the sides shorter than the top, but not too short. This hairstyle is short-ish but long enough to create a disheveled texture (or showcase a natural one). This haircut has very little in common with the undercut, which is a good thing because longer sides require fewer trims to keep them in good shape.
Where products are concerned, all you really need is a little shaping pomade. This will give you a subtle low-shine finish and plenty of hold, keeping your hair in place all day long. Apply a small amount evenly throughout your hair then shape as desired with your hands. It won't set hard as this will allow you to re-shape on the go.
So, will you be trying a short side-sweep of your own anytime soon?
