When it comes to playing up your hair's natural texture, there's no better time than summer. One of the best styles to help you do this is a laid back, tousled look. It's particularly versatile as you can tidy up the edges for work then ruffle it to create a more casual look once the boss's eagle eye is no longer upon you. This style also gives really unruly hair a certain element of control without appearing over styled.
To get the look, all you have to do is follow the tutorial below!
Deconstructing Cream Wax
If you're starting this tutorial with freshly washed hair, use a towel to soak up most of the excess moisture before you apply any product. Otherwise, you can go right ahead and warm some Deconstructing Cream Wax in your hands then sweep it back through the top of your hair. Add more wax as needed but be careful to apply only the bare minimum.
FYI - if you have especially thick or curly hair, you may want to skip this step. Set your hairdryer to medium then blow-dry the roots, moving the airflow up through the hair as it dries. This will add more volume and help to lift thin and flat hair.
Use a little more wax to twist and tousle small, individual sections of hair. Use your hands to shape the top then smooth down the sides and back to complete the look. For a formal occasion, use a wide-tooth comb to create a side part for a more pulled-together finish.
Could this be your new go-to summer hairstyle?
