If you've ever longed to be the most glamorous person in the room, we have some good news for you: with the right hairstyle, you can be! To make it happen, all you need to do is follow Julianne Moore's lead with a sleek, wavy look, whether you have a red carpet to walk or a night out with your friends to enjoy.

As night out hairstyles go, it's got plenty of A-list sparkle but is understated enough to look great with any outfit.

Step one
After towel drying your hair to remove as much excess moisture as possible, apply a fixing mousse evenly throughout.

Step two
Blow-dry your hair until it's only slightly damp, using a paddle brush to guide the hair straight.

Step three
Switch to a round brush to curl the mid-lengths and ends. Take a piece of hair, wrap it around the brush, then guide the brush through to the ends as you dry the section from top to bottom. Repeat this process until all of your hair has been curled and dried.

If you're not as au fait with the whole round brush thing as you would like, you can finish the blowout with the paddle brush, then use a medium-barrel curling iron to create waves instead.

Step four
Gently brush the curls through, then part your hair in the middle or slightly off-center with a tail comb.

Step five
To make sure unwanted frizz and flyways don't cramp your new style, fix it with a generous veil of strong hold finishing spray.

All set!
