For a few consecutive seasons now, the hair tuck has been establishing itself as a bona-fide runway trend, something that's set to continue well into Fall-Winter 2015. The thing we love the most about this simple hairstyle trick is the way it creates a convincing illusion of a short bob cut! For those of you considering a new, shorter hairstyle, this could be the best way for you to experiment with different looks.
Why you should try it
Bobs are a super chic, eternally on-trend hairstyle, but getting one is also a big commitment (read: scary change) for anyone with long hair. The hair tuck allows you to play around with a few different bob looks, helping you to figure out whether or not you want to make that all-important salon appointment.
Get the look
To get a smooth, flyaway-free finish, apply a smoothing cream to damp hair, then blow-dry it in sections.
Until your hair is almost dry, use a paddle brush to keep it as straight as possible, then switch to a round brush to add body and movement through the ends and mid-lengths.
Part your hair wherever you want, brush it through on either side, and mist with plenty of hairspray to complete the look. This will keep flyways at bay and reduce the impact of humidity on your locks.
Now all you need to do is tuck your hair into your top/jacket/scarf and you're all set!
