If you ever find yourself in need of some long hairstyle inspiration, L'Oréal Paris spokesperson Blake Lively is the perfect person to turn to. Recently, we spotted The Age of Adaline actress with a half-up hairstyle featuring voluminous waves that looked glamorous in a totally effortless kind of way.
If you want to recreate her hairstyle on your own tresses, all you need to do is follow the tutorial below!
Get the look
Beginning with freshly washed hair, spritz a heat protectant spray throughout. Rough dry your hair until it's only slightly damp, then switch off your dryer.
Before continuing the blowout, apply a smoothing cream. Finish drying your hair, using a round brush to loosely curl the lengths and ends for added movement.
When your hair is completely dry, use a 1 ½" curling iron to add more large waves wherever necessary. This will add movement and give your style a full-bodied finish. When curling the hair next to your face, make sure you turn the iron outward for the most flattering wave.
Gently brush your hair then run your fingers through it to get smooth, natural-looking waves.
Leaving a couple of pieces loose at the front to frame your face, gather the top layers and secure them just below the crown of your head with bobby pins.
Complete the look with hairspray to eliminate flyaways and prevent frizz.
