When you can't decide what to do with your hair, a half-up style is a great solution, giving you the best of both worlds. This cute wavy look with a French braid on top is easy to recreate and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. To find out how to make this style your own, all you have to do is follow the tutorial below.

You can start with either dry or damp hair so no need to wash it if you're on a tight schedule! Either way, apply a wave enhancing spray evenly throughout then blow-dry in large twisted chunks. Holding a large piece of twisted hair by the ends will set each strand into a wave as it dries, creating that laid-back, beach-worthy texture you can see on the model.
Alternatively, spray your hair with salt spray and pin it up in a loose bun or braid it to set it into loose waves sans heat.
However you make them, shake out your hair and use a tail comb to section off the very top layers. Clip this section up and tie the rest of your hair into a low pony to keep it out of the way.
Let down the top section and French braid it, starting from just behind your hairline and working back toward the crown of your head. To do this, start with a small piece at the front then split it into three parts. As you braid, add more hair into the braid until the whole section has been used up. When you're done, secure at the back with a small hair elastic.
Let down the rest of your hair then run a wide-tooth comb through it. Spray your new style generously with a finishing spray to add shine and give you great hold.
