The catwalks of the Fashion Week are a good indication of the the upcoming trends in fashion, beauty and hair. Among the amazing looks during this year's Fashion Week, wavy bangs have really stood out as the trend to jump on immediately. While curly and wavy hair has been a long running trend, top models are now accompanying the style with a long fringe, just as naturally textured as their tousled locks. While a straightened fringe may more often be associated with a more well-groomed look, the dishevelled allure is sure to seduce those looking for a more voluminous, modern take on the classic 70s-inspired look.
Do you have naturally wavy hair? Maybe it's your turn to let those waves loose and adopt the wavy fringe?
THE WAVY FRINGE GUIDE
1/ THE PERFECT HAIRCUT
There are multiple ways to embrace the curly fringe, but we have noticed that models tend to keep it long. Some go for a very long and shaggy look with the hair coming down below the eyes, other goes for a slightly overgrown look and worn either side of the face. If you wish to avoid too much volume on your foreheard, opt for lighter bangs. The volume and curls will intensify the look naturally.
Let's get down to the styling which we're happy to say, couldn't be easier! All you'll need to do is style it as you do the rest of your hair. Apply to damp hair, including the bangs, a cream gel specifically for defining and lifting natural waves. Let your hair dry naturally, if you have the time. Otherwise, spray your hair with a heat protecting solution designed for curls and dry them with a diffuser. Refine your look with a defining spray and work out the curls with your fingers.
Make-up Tip: fringes can activate the production of sebum, making your forehead appear shiny and your hair appear greasy more quickly. To avoid this problem, apply a matifying power to your forehead and repeat during the day if needed.
