When L'Oréal Paris spokesperson Lea Michele hit the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards on August 10, she proved to us all once again that long, wavy hair can be ridiculously pretty. She wore glorious mane in perfect beach waves which proved to be a winning look for the Glee star as she took home the Choice Award for Best TV Actress in a comedy show.
A very persuasive advocate for tousled locks, Lea is often seen with flowing beach waves. Teamed with her long, feathery bangs, it's a hairstyle that suits her down to the ground but, more importantly, it's a look that can work for absolutely anyone with similarly long tresses. The good news is that with just a couple of simple styling techniques, it's also a hairstyle that's super easy to achieve!
Get the look
Starting with either dry or damp hair, apply a wave enhancing spray evenly throughout. Take a large section and loosely twist it then blow-dry completely. Repeat until all of your hair is dry.
Loosen the twisted sections with your fingers and part your hair wherever you want with a wide-tooth comb. This will give you some accuracy when defining your part but won't compromise the wavy texture you just created.
Warm a small amount of wax on your fingertips then scrunch it through the ends to add more texture.
Mist your now wavy hair all over with a finishing spray for added shine and hold. That's it!
What do you think? Has Lea Michele convinced you to jump on the beach wave bandwagon?
