Whenever we're feeling low on hairstyle inspiration, we love to take a look at what went down the runway at Fashion Week. Naturally, New York Fashion Week is never short on new and unique styles that we can't wait to copy- take, for example, the looks that were seen during Wildfox's Fall/Winter 2014 presentation. Think: long, flowing hair and tousled waves topped off with delicate flowers. The look is ephemeral, dreamy, and ultra-feminine... perfect for spring!
Want to try floral accessories but worried about looking like a little kid? Here are our top tips for pulling it off!
Full bloom beauty
There were three different style options we especially liked from the show. The first was a traditional style headband made with Baby's Breath, the second features small wisps of Baby's Breath running throughout the hair almost as if it was a natural part of it, and the third was a high-impact peony and rose flower crown. All three styles were absolutely gorgeous and could be just right for this upcoming Spring.
(Top tip: Those of us who live life off the runway will probably want to stick with fake flowers for ease. Unless you're a florist, in which case, go on!)
Get the look
Once you've got your flower accessory, you need to know how to apply it. Headbands and flower crowns are definitely the easiest and most versatile as you can add them to any hairstyle by simply placing them on your head as you would a regular crown or headband. To get flowers throughout your hair, the easiest way is to braid small sections of hair randomly and thread the branch or stem through.
