Styling your hair on a tight schedule can be stressful enough, but when you're running really late or your alarm didn't go off, it can seem impossible. Throw some bed head bangs into the mix and, well, you would be forgiven for wanting to stay at home where no one can see them.

The good news is that bangs are actually really easy to deal with when you're in a rush as long as you have the right products on hand. Full disclosure: the less time you have, the more ok you need to be with them not being totally, 100% perfect.

Take control!

Step one
If you don't have time to wash your bangs, no worries. Dampen the hair slightly, then apply a heat protectant.

Step two
Blowout your bangs in one direction, then the other, then straight down. Alternatively, you can just apply the protectant to dry hair and use a flat iron to wrangle your fringe into shape.

Step three
Apply a small amount of pomade or wax to shape as needed.

Step four
Gather the rest of your hair into a ponytail, or scrunch some more putty through the rest of it to create a piecey all-over look, then finish with hairspray to set your style and add shine.

Top tip - To get your pony looking completely office-ready, take a small piece of hair from the tail and wrap it around the elastic. Use a bobby pin to secure it to the elastic underneath and you're all set!
