Chignon hairstyles can seem really complicated but they don't have to be. In fact, you can sculpt your hair into something that looks really difficult with some actually very easy styling methods. This chignon is a great example of how simple techniques can produce some seriously pretty results!
You might actually be surprised at just how simple this hairstyle us to recreate...
What you need:
Step one: Start by brushing your hair through to remove any knots. This will make the styling process easier.
Step two: Smooth all of the hair back off your face then gather it at the nape of your neck. You can use a brush to guide the hair and remove any bumps if necessary.
Step three: Tie your hair into a ponytail but only pull it out halfway so you end up with a big loop. It should be about a third of the size your ponytail would be if you pulled it all the way out.
Step four: Use bobby pins to secure the loop against the back of your head. Pin it in sections and use the ends of the pony-that-never-was to divide up the loop.
Step five: Tease a few strands loose at the front to frame your face and soften the overall silhouette of this hairstyle.
Step six: Spray your new chignon all over with finishing spray. This will add extra shine and give plenty of hold, making sure your updo lasts all day long!
