If anyone can prove that the ombré hair trend is alive and kicking, it's the many celebrities currently sporting two-toned styles on the red carpet and beyond! From Vanessa Hudgens to Sarah Jessica Parker, there is a whole lot of evidence out there to disprove the neigh sayers who claim that ombré hair is over, not to mention encourage the rest of us to jump aboard the bandwagon.
It's a really pretty bandwagon after all...
4 Reasons to go ombré
1. Options, and lots of 'em
Whether you want a real contrast or just a few subtle highlights, there are several different ways to go ombré. In fact, there are many ombré sub-trends, including colored ombrés with deeper, richer undertones. Then there's bronde to consider, which is essentially what you would expect: a subtle mix of brown and blonde (see Jessica Alba for further details).
So, if you think there isn't much choice to be had with an ombré dye, think again!
2. It looks good on everybody
Thanks to all those aforementioned options, ombré hair can be tailored to look amazing on just about anyone. Seriously.
Ombré hair looks especially gorgeous with loads of texture, from loose waves to a head full of curls. As you can see in the gallery above, having ombre hair is pretty much the best excuse to go big with your locks!
4. Low-maintenance color
If you already color your hair, perhaps the best argument in favor of ombré hair is that your roots would no longer be a high-maintenance issue. This means less time at the salon, less damage and a whole lot of money/time/anxiety saving all round. What's not to love?
What do you think? Will you try an ombré look?
