Celebrity hair trend: medium-length waves for summer
From the article : Celebrity hair trend: medium-length waves for summer
This summer, you can forget about long, poker-straight locks because wavy hair is the style of the moment! From Karlie Kloss to Cobie Smulders, celebrities have been rocking mid-length waves left, right and center. If you're looking for some inspiration on how to style yours, look no further...
Bless this mess
Tatiana Maslany and Lizzy Caplan both like to keep their dark hair in messy waves. For healthy, natural-looking bounce, use a volumizing mousse after washing, and scrunch in some salt spray before you blow dry. Using the diffuser attachment will help to add definition too.
Sleek and side-swept
Blonde beauties Emma Roberts, January Jones and Kristen Bell have all been spotted with chic, side-swept waves. The difference between their respective styles all depends on the size of the sections of hair they curled. Emma has kept the crown of her head smooth, and curled small sections of hair from the ear down, whereas Kristen has curled large, loose sections, right from the top of her head. January, however, went for a large, loose wave curled in medium-sized sections.
Cobie Smulders was spotted on the red carpet with a textured, piecey look that was full of volume and framed her face perfectly thanks to her delicate straight bangs. Alexa Chung, too, is a champion of the undone tousled look, as is Taylor Schilling. Again, salt spray comes in seriously handy for recreating these lovely laid-back looks.
No layers, no problem
Neither Christina Hendricks nor Kristen Bell have layers, preferring to keep their styles controlled and uniform. If you don't dare layers either, why not try a take inspiration from them? You could also try a tapered look like Alanna Masterson, which gives shape to the hair and complements your face shape.
What do you think? Will you be trying a wavy hairstyle of your own this summer?
