Following the long reign of classic faded cuts in recent years, the male grooming world is moving in a more relaxed, textured direction. This season, the more movement your hairstyle has, the better!
As a rule, there are two major ways to rock a looser, more laid back style: brushed forward or swept back. The big question is, which one would you go for?
Two looks for the price of one
The really great thing about both of these styles is that they're achievable with the same haircut. You just need plenty of length on top to pull forwards into a set of bangs or to sweep back into a smooth, carefree style.
Neither of these looks is especially time consuming in terms of styling, especially when you have the right products in your arsenal. Make sure you use something that remains flexible and is formulated not to leave any residue.
1/ Brushed forward
To master the perfect lazy-boy bangs, all you need to do is apply a small amount of wax, then twist and tousle random sections as you rake it all forwards. To finish, sculpt, sweep and shape as desired.
2/ Swept back
To become the smooth operator you've always known you could be, warm a small amount of pomade on your fingertips then work it back through your hair, dragging it all back off your face as you go. Add more pomade as needed but be careful not to overdo it. If you want a really tidy finish, use a wide-tooth comb to smooth out your look.
What do you think? Which style would you wear?
