Following news of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's surprise wedding ceremony after a decade of unmarried bliss, we've decided to zoom in on his 'n' hers wedding hairstyles. We just love their relaxed yet impossibly glamorous couples look from the Cannes Film Festival back in 2009 and we happen to think this could be the perfect wedding hairstyle combo. We could drone on about the understated elegance of it all (look how ridiculously beautiful they are!) but, ultimately, who doesn't want to resemble one of Hollywood's greatest, most in-love couples on their big day?
To find out how to get your own A-list wedding look, without blowing a small fortune on a renowned stylist, all you need to do is follow the styling tips below...
A glamorous bride
As Angelina Jolie is one of the most elegant (and generally excellent) human beings on the planet, she never looks as though she's trying too hard. Less is more and her natural beauty is always the thing people notice about her appearance. This is the perfect approach to take when deciding on bridal hair and makeup as you want to look like the best version of yourself, not a carbon copy of an über-styled model in a magazine.
Follow Angelina's lead with a simple blowout, using a round brush to curve the ends of your hair. One dried, flip it all over to one side and finish with a veil of strong-hold hairspray to banish frizz and keep your style flyaway-free.
Top tip - Braid the smaller side along the back or clip it back with a barrette for extra detail.
A groomed groom
In 2009, Brad Pitt had a shorter, choppier cut that was great for showcasing some controlled yet disheveled texture.
Replicate his copped style by working some grooming clay throughout, ruffling the hair on top. Use a comb to part the hair on one side and sculpt as desired with your hands. Smooth down the back and sides to finish.
Top tip - If you want more height, blow-dry the front and top while lifting the hair up with your fingers.
What do you think? Will you be stealing Brangelina's wedding hairstyles for your own big day?
