At the Cannes Film Festival, the glamorous parties are often just as much of a big deal as the red carpet film premieres taking place almost every night. They also happen to be just as good a source of celebrity hairstyle inspiration! Looks from L'Oréal Paris brand ambassadors Natasha Poly, Jane Fonda, Lara Stone, Bianca Balti and Barbara Palvin were among the highlights, as were a short geometric bob from Coco Rocha and a glamorous windswept style from Sharon Stone.
If you have a party to go to this weekend and you don't have a hairstyle figured out yet, we suggest you scroll through the star-studded gallery above and get inspired! Just make sure you have plenty of finishing spray on hand...
Perhaps unsurprisingly, side-swept hair was a popular choice on the red carpet. As a classic style, reminiscent of Old Hollywood, it makes a certain amount of sense for a glamorous event like this. Alessandra Ambrosio, Dita Von Teese, Kylie Minogue, Heidi Klum, Irina Shayk and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley all went for different variations of this look with equally impressive results!
Another popular amfAR style was the humble pony, albeit revamped and rendered totally appropriate for such a glittering occasion. Natasha Poly, Barbara Palvin and Lara Stone opted for high ponies with slightly different textures while Michelle Rodriguez plumped for a curled pony secured a little lower.
Best of the rest
As we already mentioned, Coco Rocha's sculpted flapper-style bob is a great 'night out' look for shorter hair. Jane Fonda's classic style is always a delight to behold and Sharon Stone's voluminous look was another winning 'do.
For longer hair, Bianca Balti's minimalist sleek style, complete with a well-defined center part, is also an inspiring look to consider if you like your hairstyles fuss-free but still noticeably styled.
What do you think? Who had the best hairstyle at the amfAR Gala and which one will you be stealing?
