Best celebrity hairstyles at the Emmy Awards

In the unlikely event you didn't already know, lets us inform you that the Primetime Emmys took place in Los Angeles last night, August 25, drawing the small screen's biggest and brightest stars out for the evening. Guests included the cast of Orange Is The New Black, Modern Family and House of Cards among many others. If that wasn't enough, there was also a delightfully impromptu Seinfeld reunion when Brian Cranston and Julia-Louis Dreyfus made out during the ceremony. But, but, but... we're all about the hairstyles on this site (in case the domain name didn't give it away) so we've compiled a gallery of the best looks from the red carpet, featuring Laverne Cox, Lena Headey, Sarah Hyland to name but a few.
If you feel like your own hairstyle repertoire could use a little glamor injection, you're in the right place. All you need to do is start scrolling and get inspired!
Some of our favorites
We love all of the looks in the gallery above but there are certainly a few stand-out looks in there! Lena Dunham's new platinum 'do, for instance, was a real show-stopper. Having previously showcased it via Instagram, this was one of the Girls creator's first major outings with her new look.
Kerry Washington's ombré (or should that be sombré) bob was another style that caught our eye. Though simple, the multi-tonal color and smooth finish kept it glamorous while helping to balance her vibrant attire.
Amanda Peet rocked up with a low-key half-up bun that seemed more like something we'd wear at the weekend than the kind of thing you'd see at one of the biggest red carpet events of the year. That said, she did a beautiful job of dressing it up for the Emmys and we totally plan on copying her entire beauty look for work!
Other notable looks
Amy Poehler scored some major beauty points with her perfectly tousled waves (alongside her all-round excellence and comedy genius but, like we said, we're all about the hair) while Lucy Liu proved that, sometimes, a simple sleek style is the best.
What do you think? Who wore your favorite hairstyle of the night?
