6 Ways to revive your ponytail

Do you have days where you're just kind of bored by the idea of yet another ponytail but you don't have time for anything else? Us too. The good news, however, is that there are a few different ways to change up the world's favorite updo to create a fresh new look!
1. The knot
Knots are generally considered to be a negative thing in relation to hair, but in this instance, they're kind of cool. A low, knotted pony can be done with any haircut that's long enough to tie into one.
2. Baby fishtail
Anyone who has ever tried it can attest to the fact that fishtail braiding is more intricate and time-consuming than regular three-strand braiding. This style, however, only requires a few inches of herringboned sorcery to create a cute, unique look, making it the perfect compromise!
If you want something playful with a grown-up edge, try loosely braiding a pony after tying a ribbon to the elastic. Weave the ribbon in as you go then loosen with your hands when you're done.
4. Optical illusion
For those of you who are not-so-patiently growing their hair, cheat your way to a longer pony with a very deceptive half-up style à la J-Lo.
A low side pony with an ultra-sleek finish will make you look polished and totally put-together, even if you're wearing sweatpants. Seriously, it really will.
6. Braided beauty
If you're feeling particularly dextrous, put it to good use by trying a chic French braided side-pony. This pretty style looks good on everyone and, with a little practice, is surprisingly easy to do.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite or will you try them all?
