If you have naturally straight hair, it can be a challenge to add texture and lift, especially if your hair is quite fine or tends to fall flat. The good news is that we have a simple five minute tutorial to help you achieve a perfectly tousled texture that's both versatile and right on trend.
Whether you want to dress down formal attire with a laid back style or are looking for the perfect off-duty 'do, you can't go wrong with this hairstyle.
To find out how to recreate it on your own locks, just follow the steps below.
Get the look
Starting with dry or damp hair, warm a small amount of wax in your hands to emulsify it, then sweep it back through your hair.
Keep adding more wax as needed, but take care not to overload your strands. It's a lot easier to keep adding more wax than it is to start with too much and wind up washing it out and starting over.
Twist individual pieces of hair, then break them up with your fingers to create a tousled texture. Keep doing this until all of the hair on top has a slightly wavy, disheveled look.
Rake your fingers through your hair to brush it forward slightly and sweep it to one side.
Scrunch the hair for a final spruce, then complete any final touch-ups with your hands. That's it!
