Half-up hair

If you want a hairstyle that won't make you compromise, try a half-up look because they are, by definition, the best of both worlds. They keep a reasonable amount of hair back off the face while showcasing plenty of movement through the lengths. For the indecisive among you, this is exactly what you need!

We just love the simple yet very elegant style in the photo above. With a textured finish that still looks totally put-together, it would be the perfect accompaniment to any attire, whether you're heading to a job interview or a party.

How to style it

Step one
Starting with damp hair, spray a wave enhancing spray evenly throughout and blow-dry. Hold the hair in large twisted sections while you dry to create loose, natural waves.

Step two
Once the hair is completely dry, use a wide-tooth comb to define a middle part. This will give you a certain amount of accuracy without compromising the texture.

Step three
Take a medium-sized piece of hair from the front on the left side and loosely twist it. Pin it at the back. Repeat on the other side then join the two pieces together. If you want, you can do this with two small rope braids for extra detail.

Step four
To minimize flyways and give your style long-lasting hold, complete the look with a high-shine finishing spray. All set!

Top tip - Team this style with subtle accessories for a more elaborate finish or leave it as it is for a chic, minimalist vibe.

What do you think? How will you wear this half-up hairstyle?
